Giving Thanks

This is the week of Thanksgiving here in the USA.  So I know some people go through the whole month of saying each day something they are thankful for -- me, I'm doing this week.  The picture above has a great saying.  Too often we get caught up in our daily lives to really open our heart to being thankful for what we do have and what constantly gets brought up into our lives.

So today -- I'm going to say I'm grateful for my faith.  My faith allows me to do wondrous things in my life and for others.  It gives me the foundation to help my children to be the best they can be.  I know without a doubt that no matter how low my life looks, it's actually not that bad and even with how bad it looks, someone is worse and my life will get better.  Faith is a great thing to have because with Faith  you have hope.  With Hope you have love.  With Love all things are possible including Peace.

My Wish for you...

♥
I saw this image on Pinterest and I knew I just had to use it in today's blog.   How many of us would have loved to have any of the things listed on here?  I know I do.

Too often our lives seem so complicated, when in reality they are quite simple.   We have physical needs that must be met -- but if you remember any articles on the children in the orphanage who didn't get the emotional ones, they didn't thrive.

We're human beings, more evolved to need that emotional connection.  With that emotional connection comes satisfaction, not only with ourselves.. but with your life as well.

A lot of these things that I wish for you to have I also wish for me to have.  I would like to say I have most of them.  Which makes me pretty lucky.  I want you to feel pretty lucky as well.   So I've blessed this picture with blessings to anyone who reads it that they find peace, love and happiness.  Spread it around!

Impossible?

♥
How many of us have been told something is impossible?  Probably too often and by people who should be supporting us all along.

I asked for inspiration for today's topic and this is what came up.  I know I have a place deep inside me that I hold for all of those impossible dreams.  But guess what, some have actually come true.

For example, I was asked when I was 10 (4th grade) to write to a girl in England.  Write we did.  In fact, in 2000 I actually got to meet her.  That was an impossible dream as I never in my wildest dreams ever thought that would be a possibility.  You know what -- here it is 34 years later and we still communicate regularly.  Modes have changed, instead of snail mail letters -- now we email, Facebook and text -- sometimes you have to LOVE modern technology.  My hope is we get to get together again and this time spend more time together than we did in 2000.

I have some other "impossible" dreams.  You know what though I feel like if I keep them in my deep place and keep looking at them that eventually I'll get them to come true too.  Why?  Because I believe and that's half the battle.

How about you?  What's your Impossible Dream?

Card for the week of 11/17/2013

Today's card is from the Angel Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue.  This card comes up when it's time to review your plans and look at things from a new perspective.  Perhaps a different approach can help the situation?  I know it feels like everything has come to a standstill, but it's just a temporary breath in the universe's plan for you.  So take this time to also take a breath and rethink things.

Step out of your norm and embrace your uniqueness.  Be considerate of others and use your time to be generous to others.  The things you give to others the universe will bring back to you.

Gabriel is a messenger - so make sure you're paying attention to messages she may be sending to you.  Including the message of love from God and not to be down on yourself.  Things will be brighter don't lose faith!

Inspiration

♥
When I meet new people who have never heard my story by the time I'm done they always tell me "You're so strong."

Well I'm only strong because I had no choice but to be.  Like when my first child was born with heart, kidney and spine issue, I didn't have time to lose it.  I had to be prepared for what was to come.  She was going to need me to be her protector and her champion.  Like my second child having major complications due to a chromosomal issue and not knowing if she'd make it or not and then being born and dying.  Again, I could do no less for her than be strong.  Then having twins and one of them having a brain condition that delays her.  Instead of losing it -- I am strong for her and push her to be better because of it.

I seriously believe that we are put through things in our life to help us grow as people.  Sometimes it's something you can handle, sometimes it's not.  It's still all about free will.  We can choose to be strong in that moment -- or weak and try not to deal.

So when I saw this graphic on pinterest and the saying, I just knew my blog had to be about being strong.  I hope when I get my book done about my girls and their health issues and it gets published that it does the following:

1) Helps someone else feel like they're not alone in their similar process
2) Helps someone deal with their own issues
3) Makes my girls when they grow up understand what I went through and makes them proud of me being strong for them.

In all cases, I hope it inspires others to be strong too.

Great Thought

What would our world be like if everyone thought this way.  How many people would go hungry?  How many people would be out in the cold weather?  How many people could feel safe for a change.  And most importantly, how many people could feel the emotion of true unconditional love.

Great thought for today.  Can you truly make this wish?  Spread this wish?  Help someone.  Every little bit helps a person in their day.

See what you can do today, tomorrow and the days in the future.  Once you start, I bet you won't stop.
